Boil water notice issued for some Waco residents

WACO - The city of Waco issued a boil water notice Wednesday afternoon to customers that live off of several streets around times.

Officials said the notice is due to issues arising while connecting a new water line.

The following areas are effected:

  • Customers residing near west of Old Lorena Road, from Warren Road north to Riverview Road.
  • Summer Harvest Drive
  • Leutwyler Lane
  • El Gato Lane
  • Chapel Road, east of Old Lorena Road.

Customers in these areas need to boil their water prior to consumption to ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria. Water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use.
