Law enforcement officers across Texas marked the one-year anniversary of the Dallas Police ambush Friday by turning on their red and blue lights for one-minute at exactly 10 a.m.
Members of more than 15 Central Texas law enforcement agencies drove vehicles in a line onto the fly-over above I-35 to Westbound SH-6 in Waco, activating their lights along with the rest of the state's officers.
The July 7, 2016 shooting killed five officers and wounded seven more at a rally in downtown Dallas. Two civilians were also wounded in the ambush.
Friday's sign of solidarity came the same day of the funeral for San Antonio Police Officer Miguel Moreno, who was recently shot and killed near San Antonio College.
