The City of Marlin issued a boil water notice Tuesday afternoon, citing low chlorine residual on Live Oak Street between Highway 6 and Harris Street.
The city said customers living in that area should vigorously boil water then cool it prior to consumption, in order to destroy any harmful bacteria or other microbes. Instead of boiling water, residents may also purchase bottled water or obtain it from other suitable sources, the city said.
