UPDATE: Dog Ridge rescinds boil water notice

UPDATE 11/22 | The boil water notice has been rescinded. Dog Ridge Water Supply said their system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate the water  no longer require boiling as of Wednesday.

Another boil water notice was issued Monday for Dog Ridge Water Supply, which has long been plagued by boil notices.

Monday's notice was the result of a water main break in the vicinity of Wildflower and George Wilson Road north of the access road for I-14/Highway 190.

Customers were urged to vigorously boil water for two minutes, then cool prior to consumption. Or, customers could purchase bottled water.

Last year, costumers petitioned to have their water supply taken over by the City of Belton.
