Domtar employees deliver 1,500 baby care packages

Domtar Corporation employee volunteers from the fiber-based product company's personal care item manufacturing site in Waco assembled and delivered more than 1,500 baby care packages Thursday to organizations that help low-income families, the company said in a press release.

Children's books and baby diapers were among the items in the care packages assembled at the Waco facility, which employs nearly 100 local residents.

Some of the packages were delivered Thursday afternoon to the Talitha Koum Institute -- a charity that offers a brain development program to young children. The rest of the packages were brought to the Waco Diaper Bank, which provides diapers to local families.

"The Domtar Comfort and Care Program has helped alleviate financial and emotional stress for families in need by donating hundreds of thousands of diapers to charitable organizations in the last year alone," the company said in the release.
