The 70th Annual PRCA Killeen Rodeo will be May 18-20.
The popular event kicks off with Military Appreciation Night on May 18. There will be a demonstration by the 1st Cav Horse Detachment at 7:15 p.m. and opening remarks by Fort Hood leadership at 7:50 p.m. The formal opening ceremony begins at 8 p.m. Active military personnel, national guard members, reserve troops and their dependents get in free with their military IDs that night.
The following night, on May 19, is Killeen Employee night. City employees enter free with valid IDs. Their family members can donate four cans of food per person to All American Chevrolet or to staff at the rodeo gate in exchange for a free ticket.
The final night is Educators Night on May 20. Faculty and staff from local school districts get in free with a valid employee ID card. Just like relatives of city employees the night before, the educators' families can get in free by donating four cans of food per person.
Each night, a pre-show kicks off at 7:30 p.m. And, the big show begins at 8 p.m.
