The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for Rapid Creek and Stream Rises in...
  Lampasas County in central Texas...

* Until 1100 AM CDT.

* At 753 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that were
  producing heavy rainfall across Lampasas County. Excessive runoff
  from these thunderstorms will cause small stream flooding. This
  means some low water crossings in the region may become impassable.
  Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and minor flooding
  may occur, especially across eastern Lampasas County between
  Lampasas and Kempner.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Copperas Cove, Lampasas, Kempner and Lometa.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
