House fire displaces two in Waco

Channel 6 news reporter Kurtis Quillin reports.

WACO - Two people are displaced after a Sunday afternoon house fire at 26th Street and Fort Avenue in Waco.

The call came in at 2:30 p.m. Nine units and 27 Waco firefighters responded to the scene.

One person was asleep when the fire started.

The house was fully involved with smoke and it was concentrated in the rear of the house.

The fire was under control by 3:00 p.m.

No injuries were reported and the Waco Fire Marshall is investigating the cause.

The Red Cross is currently assisting the displaced.
