Killeen business looking for HeroBracelet owner

Andrew Moore reports.

KILLEEN - A Killeen business owner is working to find the owner of a HeroBracelet - a band than memorializes the death of a soldier.  The bracelet was left in Knocked and Loaded, a gun and archery store, at 5001 S. Fort Hood Street.

The inscription on the band reads "SPC BURG, RYAN R. Sabine Pass, TX". It indicates the soldier had served in the Army and was killed in action on Jan. 9, 2007.

Owner Johnny Wade posted a picture of the band on the Channel 6 Facebook page. He said he wants to do everything he can to get it back to it's rightful owner.

"As a memento of someone that was lost on the field of battle. We want to get it back to the person that had been wearing it," Wade said. "I understand how important this is to the soldiers."

Anyone who knows who the bracelet might belong to can contact Channel 6 News at News@kcentv.com.
