Killeen offers incentives to attract new businesses to downtown

Investors, property owners and business owners interested in revitalizing downtown Killeen by making it a hub for small businesses are invited to attend an information session Thursday night when city officials will explain how they are attempting to improve Killeen and how folks can invest financially in the city's future.

"Downtown is the heart and history of our city," City Councilman Gregory Johnson said. "As our City grows, it’s important that we preserve that history and take bolder steps to revitalize Downtown and North Killeen into a small business hub and destination place that citizens can not only enjoy, but be proud of."

Those who attend the event will be taught about the city's incentive-based programs, and they will learn about downtown properties for sale. A commercial banker will also be on site to speak about financial assistance being offered to qualified parties.
