Little River-Academy ISD on high alert after attempted abduction

LITTLE RIVER-ACADEMY - An attempted abduction in Little River-Academy on Tuesday has parents on high alert.

Wednesday the Little River-Academy school district posted the following on it's Facebook page:

Important Safety Information:

Yesterday, September 20th, an attempted child abduction was reported at an Academy ISD bus stop in Echo Village. At Academy, we take the safety of our students very seriously. All bus drivers and staff members have been alerted and prompted to report any suspicious activity. Each campus spoke with students about potential dangers in regards to strangers when in a public setting. We urge parents and families to discuss what to do in a situation like this with your students. Please contact your student's campus counselor if you have any questions about how to discuss this very important topic with your student.
