Man in custody after allegedly robbing Killeen dollar store

KILLEEN - A man is in custody after allegedly robbing a Family Dollar Thursday afternoon in the 4800 block of West Cliff.

Officials said they received a call around 1:30 p.m. that a man came into the store armed with a handgun and demanded cash. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store on foot.

An officer was already in the area when the call was made and police were able to apprehend the suspect without incident in the 1900 block of Cedar Hill drive.

No one was injured in the incident.
