Marlin to honor fallen Police Chief on one year anniversary

MARLIN - Marlin will honor its fallen Police Chief Thursday night with a balloon release to mark the one year anniversary of his death.

Darrell Allen was shot and killed outside a club in Temple while working security on November 1, 2015.

It will be held at 6 p.m. at the Lucille Williams Pavillion.  The balloons need to be black, blue or white.

The city will sell balloons for one dollar at the pavilion.

They will also have a food drive for Food for Families.  Bring non-perishable food items to the Marlin Police Department.
