The suspects came to Meridian expecting to have sex with a 15 or 16-year-old girl.

When the suspects arrived, they were met by Meridian Police Officers. A man who traveled along with one of the suspects was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. However, police did not have any evidence to prove he knew why he was coming to Meridian.

Police said they plan on arresting individuals who engaged with them but did not actually show up. Texas law states they do not have to show up to violate this law. Each suspect that did not show up did send some sort of graphic material.

All of six suspects have been charged with online solicitation of a minor and bonds set at $40,000.
