Soldier searches for owner of missing wedding ring

Channel 6 news reporter Emani Payne reports.

FORT HOOD - A Fort Hood soldier hopes to reunite a woman with a missing wedding ring.

The soldier, who asked to remain anonymous, said the ring was found in a parking lot in front of the barracks on Battalion Avenue earlier this week. He said the ring was wedged in his car door handle.

The ring includes a single diamond and initials believed to be "ADC."

The soldier said he was not sure how long the ring has been missing. But, he hopes by putting the word out now, it will make its way back to its rightful owner.

"It's someone's wedding ring, so it's got a lot of sentimental value to somebody," the soldier said. "And, if it were mine, I'd want somebody to at least make an effort to get it back."

If you believe the ring is yours or know to whom it might belong, then message our partners through the Fort Hood Area Events Facebook page, which can be found here.
