Teenagers cause mayhem, Waco police say

From the Castle Heights area to Beverly Hills – police describe the criminal activity of two teenagers Wednesday evening as “mayhem”.

Officials said around 6:40 p.m., officers were sent to N. 32nd and Waco Drive about a suspicious person with a gun. A person who was driving in the area reported two males pointed a gun at him as they crossed over Waco Drive heading south on N. 42nd.

Following that incident, police said they found out the same two males attempted to rob a woman at gunpoint while she was walking in the 300 block of Oriental. The teens later identified as a 16-year-old juvenile and a 17-year-old Michael Majors continued to head south on 32nd Street. They came across a 56-year-old man who was in the parking lot of the Baylor Track and Field on S. 32nd and Clay Ave. The victim told officers the two teens threatened to shoot him but never displayed a weapon.

And the crimes did not stop there.

After the incident at the track, the two teens walked to the 3200 block of Willowbrook and tried to rob a 69-year-old woman with a stun gun, officials said.  After an unsuccessful robbery, they burglarized a car several houses down from the robbery attempt which was located in the Beverly Hills city limits.The teens fled on foot near the Floyd Casey Stadium area.

Officers were able to find the suspects as they entered the Spec’s Liquor Store in Beverly Hills. Both began to flee out the back door of the store. However, patrol and K-9 officers were able to take one of the suspects in custody after tasing him. The other suspect changed his mind and decided to casually walk out the front door and was apprehended by officers.

Majors was found with a stun gun, stolen property, marijuana, and Xanax. The juvenile was found with a realistic looking bb gun pistol and marijuana.

The juvenile was charged with Robbery, Aggravated Robbery, Evading Arrest/Detention, Possession of Marijuana, and Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.
