Brisket, pork spare ribs, 1/2 chicken, appetizers, and beans will all be submitted for judging in the contest with the winners receiving cash prizes. And the Lampasas Chamber of Commerce remarked that a 9-year-old-boy who is competing is said to be a dark horse in the cook-off.
The Spring Ho Festival will be going all weekend long with square dancing, pony rides, a pet parade and the carnival will also be available for people to enjoy.
