Trial date set for first Twin Peaks shooting case

The date for the first trial in the 2015 Twin Peaks shoot-out has been scheduled for April 17.

WACO - The first Twin Peaks shooting trial has been scheduled for April 17 in McLennan County.

The 2015 Twin Peaks shootout killed nine people and ended with more than 150 people being arrested and charged in connection with the shooting, which escalated from a biker dispute.

Nineteenth District Court Judge Ralph Strother will preside over the first trial, though the defendant in that case could be one of a handful of bikers and a name has not been publicly announced.

Judge Strother and Judge Matt Johnson will alternate presiding over several more cases in the months immediately following the first trial.
