Two convenience stores robbed minutes apart in Killeen

KILLEEN - Police were investigating two robberies  at convenience stores Monday morning that occurred just minutes apart.

Killeen Police were called to the 7-11 at 1000 N. WS Young Drive around 5:30 a.m.

Police said a man came in the store with a weapon and demanded money from the clerk.  After the clerk and suspect said something to each other, the suspect left on foot.

Police were called to the Mickey's at 4808 Westcliff Road about 15 minutes later on a report of another robbery.

Like the first robbery, the store clerk said the suspect had a weapon, demanded money then left on foot.

No one was hurt in either robbery.

The suspect in both robberies is described as a thei black man, about 5'6'' tall and was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans and white t-shirt.
