LOS ANGELES - A Killeen man wanted for an August murder was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force Thursday in East Lost Angeles.
Gus Lozano, Jr. was located inside a car at a Los Angeles park by the task force. Lozano was wanted for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He was taken into custody and transported to the Los Angeles County Jail along with another man who was arrested on unrelated charges.
On August 3, 2016, Lozano was involved in an altercation in the parking lot of the Sun Mart located at 1515 N. 38th street in Killeen. Lozano stabbed another man during the incident and fled the scene. The victim, Emjomo Moore died of his injuries on August 5.
A warrant was issued for his arrest after the case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office. The office returned a complaint charging Lozano with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Lozano is currently in the Los Angeles County Jail awaiting extradition.
