Waco PD officers praised for helping stranded elderly woman

WACO - Several Waco police officers are receiving praises after helping an disabled elderly woman just after 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening .

According to Waco Police Department’s Facebook page, After a long shift, Officer Faydi decided to stop and get something to eat at Bush’s Chicken on 19th Street and Alice.

Officer Faydi was contacted by the employees who told the officer the woman had been there since 2:00 p.m.   

The woman was in a broken wheelchair and had no way to get back to her apartment down the road.

Faydi contacted dispatch and two officers, Draper and Reyes picked up a wheelchair from the police department for the stranded woman. Officer Draper physically pushed the woman to her apartment while Officer Faydi transported her personal belongings.
