Waco police searching Chase bank robbery suspect

Shots were fired during a bank robbery in Waco.

WACO - Waco police are looking for a man suspected of aggravated robbery Tuesday evening at a Chase Bank located in the 300 block of New Road.

Officers responded to a call about 6:00 p.m. to a robbery in progress.

Witnesses said the suspect parked a tan-colored pick-up in front of the bank, entered the front doors and demanded money from bank employees.

Officials said an investigation determined the suspect described as a skinny white man, possibly in his 20’s wearing a gray and green hoodie with black pants. The suspect was also wearing a mask to cover his face and carrying a shotgun.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank in the pickup driving south on New Road toward Franklin Avenue.

The truck did not have a rear license plate.

No employees were injured during the robbery and the investigation is ongoing.
