Nine-Year-Old Plane Hopper No Stranger to Trouble

(KCEN) -- New information tonight about the 9-year-old kid who hopped on a flight from Minneapolis to Las Vegas without a boarding pass shows that the boy is no stranger to trouble.

He apparently has a history of sneaking into water parks and was recently arrested after allegedly stealing a car.

It turns out that his mother works at the airport where he began his journey.

She describes him as a challenging child.

Child Protective Service workers have looked into the boy's family life four times.

Airport investigators are trying to figure out how the child was able to slip past security and airline gate agents an then board a flight.

The 9-year-old is still in Child Protective Services.
