Service Dog Saves the Day

(KCEN) -- A disabled veteran says a wake-up call from his service dog saved his life from a fire that was ripping through his home.

Charlie Baird, a retired para-trooper, woke up to a living nightmare.

He left corn on the stove and fire engulfed his home. Chances are Charlie would have slept right through it.

But his service dog Teddy Roosevelt jumped into action.
