Waco City Manager Announces Plans to Retire

(KCEN) -- Waco City Manager Larry D. Groth, P.E., has decided to retire.

Groth informed the Waco City Council and City's Management Team that he will retire on March 1, 2014.

Larry D. Groth, P.E., has worked for the city for 34 years. He began his career in 1980 as a city engineer and then was the director of the Cameron Park Zoo in 1995. He was then promoted to Assistant City Manager on April 21, 2003.

Groth plans to spend his time off with his family.
