Hello Central Texas!
I come to you from the Buckeye state where I was born and raised on a farm in Northwest Ohio. I gained my interest in the weather at a young age, mostly from my dad who is a private pilot. Flying allowed me to view weather systems unfold unlike most ever get the chance to see. I am no stranger to severe weather as Ohio is just on the far Eastern edge of Tornado Alley.
After graduating high school I left Ohio for a few years to study meteorology at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL, Where I received my Bachelors of Science in Meteorology with a minor in Broadcasting. While in college I was very involved in my fraternity Delta Sigma Phi and in the campus news WIU TV 3. As a sophomore, I started forecasting the weather on air at WIU as a weather anchor.
After graduating college I went back home to Northwest Ohio where I started my Meteorology career in TV at WLIO in Lima Ohio.
Now I am happy and excited to be in Central Texas and apart of KCEN HD Weather Team. I will be working hard in the HD weather center, alongside Chief Meteorologist Andy Andersen and Meteorologist Patrick Crawford, to bring you the best and most accurate forecast in Region.
When I am not focused on the weather in weather center, I enjoy being outside in the weather riding sport bikes and wakeboarding. So, if you see me out and about please feel free to say hi. I love to meet new people and talk about anything. Be sure to join me at 5pm Monday thru Thursday and Sunday at 5 and 10pm for full weather forecast.
