Wounded Warriors Project Set To Help Vets

(KCEN) -- The wounded warriors project is stepping up if the government shutdown continues and it affects VA compensation benefits.

The project says it will send out $20-million to some 40,000 young veterans it has assisted in the past.

That makes it one of the largest initiatives by a private group or individuals to cover unmet needs due to the government shutdown.
