    (KCEN)— Fire and smoke damaged several Lott businesses Wednesday night. The fire broke out just after 9:45 p.m. on Gassaway Street. A police officer and several witnesses say the fire started inside a dentist office. Originally the fire was reported at a church on Walnut Street. Heavy smoke was coming out of the front door and roof of Dr. Shore's dentist office. Soon smoke was seen spreading to surrounding businesses, including an antique and appliance store.
