Kitrick Bell Named to D3HOOPS.COM Preseason All-America Team

Belton, Texas – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's basketball player Kitrick Bell has been named to the Preseason All-America Team released today. Bell was named to the fourth team.

Bell, a senior forward from Fort Bend Marshall High School, led UMHB and the American Southwest Conference in rebounding with an average of 10.1 boards per game. Bell was also the Cru's third leading scorer at 12.1 points per contest. He shot 56 percent from the field and was second on the Cru with 11 blocked shots. Bell also had 25 assists, 22 steals and 11 double-doubles on the season. He was a Honorable Mention All-American, Second Team All-South Region selection and earned ASC All-Conference and First Team ASC All-West Division honors last season. Bell is one of just three ASC players named to the Preseason All-America Teams.

The Cru basketball team went 27-6 overall last season and advanced to the NCAA Division III National Championship Game for the first time in program history. The UMHB men's basketball team will open the 2013-14 season on the road at Schreiner University on November 20th.
