WACO - The top-ranked and defending national champion Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team will take on No. 2 Oregon for the second time this season Sunday at 1:00 p.m. CT at the Ferrell Center on FOX Sports Southwest.
The Bears are 4-1 this year, with their only loss on the season coming to Oregon on Feb. 25 on the road. That loss was the first loss suffered by the Bears since head coach Felecia Mulkey came to Baylor in 2015. Since that match, the Bears have won three meets in a row, posting a new season high final score in each match, including an impressive 287.825 last Sunday against Gannon.
Oregon (5-0) has had a successful season thus far, posting a final score of at least 283.000 in all five of its matches. In the Ducks’ match against Fairmont State on March 17, they ended with a final score of 288.425, which is the highest score any team has posted this year.
Sunday’s match is also a rematch of the 2016 NCATA national championship, which took place on April 17, 2016, and resulted in the Bears taking home their second straight national championship.
