Rob Frost returns as UMHB head volleyball coach

Belton, Texas – Less than one month after accepting a Division I head coaching position, Rob Frost is returning to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor as the school's head volleyball coach. Frost had taken the head coaching position at Abilene Christian University in May before having a change of heart and returning to the Cru.

"I just felt like UMHB was home and was the right fit for me," Frost said. "I am excited about what we have accomplished during my time here and I look forward to building on that and growing the program. I feel like we are in the middle of some great things and there is more that we can do. I'd like to thank Dr. Randy O'Rear, Dr. Steve Theodore and Randy Mann for this opportunity."

Frost has compiled a record of 72-27 in his three seasons with UMHB and guided the Cru to the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament in each of his three seasons. UMHB set new school NCAA Division III era records for single-season victories in each of his seasons on campus, capped by a 29-8 record during the 2013 campaign. The Cru earned the first NCAA Division III National Championships berth in program history this past season and was also regionally ranked and received votes in the AVCA Top 25 Poll for the first time in the history of Cru volleyball in 2013. Frost has coached 16 ASC All-Conference selections and 14 Academic All-Conference picks during his tenure with UMHB.

"We are excited to have Rob Frost return as our head volleyball coach," Cru Vice-President for Athletics Randy Mann said. "Rob has done a great job in turning around our volleyball program and we look forward to having continuity in that program and continuing to build on that success."
