Hi Central Texas! I'm so excited to be here and get my hands full with the active weather that rolls through here. I wake up bright and early to make sure you have accurate forecasts on Texas Today.
You can say I'm a little addicted to weather. Even when I'm not in the KCEN-HD Weather Center I still check temperatures and look at weather data. I can't help it! I was born and raised in New Orleans where an afternoon shower or thunderstorm is about as common as a bowl of gumbo.
When I'm not checking out weather you will likely find me in the kitchen whipping up cakes and cookies, reading or shopping.
I came from El Paso, TX where I served as weather forecaster in addition to news anchor and reporter. I've also worked as a reporter in Hawthorne, CA as well as an assignment editor and field producer for ABC News in Los Angeles.
Right now I'm finishing up my weather certification at Mississippi State University and have applied for the seal of approval with the National Weather Association.
My goal here is to give you accurate forecasts so that you can plan your day better or keep you safe when the threat of severe weather occurs.
