LONGVIEW (KYTX) -- A large employer in Longview has announced to its employees that it will be shutting its doors.

Bemis, a plastics products plant, employs more than 100 people. A corporate spokesperson announced to employees Tuesday that the plant will be shut down, leading to the loss of those jobs -- although there's no specific word as to when the plant will shut down.

The company is working with the Longview Economic Development Council in the hopes of finding new jobs for those laid off.
