KOSSE (KCEN)- Police say the two men who were shot and killed last Thursday were stopped by a sheriff's deputy shortly before the shooting in Kosse.

Last week the man living in the house called police saying two men were breaking in.

He says he shot and killed Mark Tays and Roger West out of self defense.

Sheriff Dennis Wilson confirmed that Tays and West were pulled over near the home, before the shooting and there was a firearm in their vehicle.

No charges have been filed, and the sheriff's department is still investigating.
