SAN ANTONIO (KCEN/WOAI)- A human smuggling bust was found south of downtown San Antonio early Monday morning.
Police
received a call about 1:30 a.m. about a suspicious vehicle at
a home in the area and when police arrived they discovered 20 illegal immigrants were hiding inside the home.
17 of them were men and three of them were woman. Many are reported to be sick.
All 20 illegal immigrants were taken into
custody by immigration and customs enforcement agents.
Two
suspected smugglers were also arrested and $3,000 was also
confiscated from the home.
Authorities also discovered a list of people who apparently owe money was also taken from the scene.
