(KCEN)— $100,000 worth of stolen property and drugs valued at $1,000 were seized Wednesday after a crime stoppers tip lead the Navarro County Sheriff's office to the perpetrators.
The original Crime Stopper's tip led investigators to discover several stolen vehicles and equipment in a rural area near Rice. That discovery led officers to the Los Dos Amigos Tire Shop in Ennis where the officers discovered methamphetamine valued at $1,000.
Two skid-loaders, five ATV's, one late model Chrysler 300, three pickups, one rototiller, one go-cart and the remains from three dismantled stolen vehicles were all seized.
Police arrested Jose A. Landeros, 30, and Juan F. Fuentes, 35 of Rice and are now in the Ellis County Jail.
The Navarro County Sheriff's Office, Corsicana Police Department, Ennis Police Department, the Texas Rangers and the Texas Department of Public Safety Auto Theft Division were all involved in the investigation.
Investigators say they are continuing to follow leads developed from Wednesday in hopes of recovering more stolen property and additional suspects.
