(KCEN)- A former McLennan County judge's son has been arrested in connection to a hit and run that critically injured a local sheriff's deputy.
On Tuesday investigators found the truck matching the description of the one involved in the hit and run at a home in Bellmead.
The truck was registered to Mormino and after a brief interview with Mormino Thursday he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and failure to stop and render aid.
41-year old McLennan County Sheriff deputy Tyrone Caldwell is still in critical condition after being hit Monday in Cameron Park.
The driver took off after the crash.
Mormino's father served as McLennan County judge from 1960 to 1970. He passed away last year.
