SPRING (KPRC)- Several parents in Spring said they are scared and angry after a hit list was found at their children's school.
The parents said the list was written on bleachers at Roberson Middle School, 1500 South Ridge Road, in the Spring Independent School District.
Mothers told NBC affilate KPRC that three seventh-grade girls took a permanent marker and wrote on the bleachers.
"The list entails 10 to 20 students and my daughter was on the list," said a mother who did not want to be identified to protect her daughter.
The note said, "I want to kill you. This is our death note. If you find your name down here, you will die and we hate you so much."
"What upsets me the most is we're supposed to have a zero tolerance policy for bullying and then something like this happens," the mother said.
Spring ISD issued a statement and said, "The school administration investigated the incident and appropriate disciplinary action has been taken."
The district said three seventh-graders wrote the threatening message. District officials said the safety and security of the students if of the highest importance and they take incidents like these seriously.
The mothers said the students only got suspended for a few days and wonder if it's enough.
"That's something I'm very concerned with -- that there could be some sort of retaliation," the mother said. "I feel like these students should be removed from the school for the rest of the year. This should be a warning to all students that this will not be tolerated."
