INDIANAPOLIS, MINN. (KCEN) -- Wounded war veterans found themselves in a battle Wednesday, but this time it was on American soil against a few familiar faces in a game of flag football.
The Wounded Warrior Project planned the event in Indianapolis, which featured NFL alumni playing against American war veterans that have suffered traumatic injuries during combat.
The Wounded Warriors beat the NFL Stars alumni team 65-48, which was played at the Indianapolis Indoor Sports Park.
The game was compete with coaches, cheerleaders, and a half-time show.
