(KCEN) A man shot during a standoff with Hill County sheriffs deputies has died.
84-year-old Monty Moore called sheriff's deputies last Tuesday after he thought someone was in his attic.
When a deputy arrived, Moore walked out of the house with a .22 caliber rifle.
He then tried to take the deputy's gun, hitting her in the face and trying to choke her.
The deputy used her stun gun, but it didn't work. She then shot Moore twice.
