TEMPLE (KCEN) - Police say a man who received treatment at
Scott and White Hospital for a gunshot wound could be a man involved in an
attempted home burglary.
The attempted burglary occurred Thursday just before noon in
the 3900 block of Lower Troy Road.
The victim told police two Hispanic male suspects forced
entry into his home and then ran when they spotted the victim inside. Officers say the homeowner fired one shot
from a handgun at the suspects.
Around 12:30 p.m. a man matching the description of one of
the suspects came into Scott and White ER with a non life-threatening gunshot
wound.
Temple police say they are investigating to determine if the
man at the hospital was indeed one of the suspects in the attempted burglary
and are continuing to investigate the incident.
