KILLEEN (KCEN)- Police have released the identity of the 3-year-old boy who was shot in the chest Saturday morning and later died.
Investigators say 3-year-old Jordan Kenneth Jones was shot by his 4-year-old brother.
It happened Saturday morning in the 2900 block of Boyd.
Police say the victim and his 4-year-old brother were in another room in the house when their mother heard a gunshot. When she went into the room she found Jordan suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Jones' mother allegedly left her 9 millimeter handgun on top of her bedroom dresser and the 4-year-old got a hold of the weapon and shot his 3-year-old brother.
Jones was pronounced dead at 9:24 a.m.
No charges have been filed at time and the 4-year-old's name will not be released.
