TEMPLE (KCEN)- A 91-year-old man is dead after being hit by a car Monday evening.

It happened at 5:15 p.m. in the 4600 block of S. 31st Street.

Investigators say the victim, identified as Karl Theobald, was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by a 2006 Chevrolet HHR traveling on South 31st Street.

The driver of the car was not injured.
