WACO (KCEN)- Waco Police are now on Twitter.
Starting Wednesday @WacoPolice will be tweeting information that will interest those in Waco and tweeting information that could be vital to solving crimes.
The account will be managed by Sgt. Patrick Swanton, Waco Police Department's P.I.O.
Waco Police say the vision for the information shared will be to inform local communities of current police department events, major traffic problems, missing children/persons and breaking criminal activity.
They say occasionally humor they stumble upon in and around the police department might make a few tweets too.
Any emergencies should be reported to 911 and tips to law enforcement should not be sent through the account.
