Update: Police have confirmed the body recovered from the Brazos is the body of missing 59-year-old Glenda Lang.
The body was recovered just before 6 p.m. Wednesday and has been sent to Dallas for an autopsy.
Waco Police are calling Lang's death questionable pending autopsy results.
WACO (KCEN)- The search is on along the Brazos River Wednesday evening for a woman who went missing Tuesday just before she was supposed to catch a flight.
59-year-old Glenda Lynne Lang was supposed to board a flight at the Waco Airport Tuesday that was headed for Florida, but when her family arrived to her home they found her suitcases, but no Glenda Lang.
The family tells police Lang lived only about a quarter of a mile from the river and often walked along the banks.
Officers did find indications that Lang had been at the river.
Police say there is also a possibility she could be staying with a friend and encourage anyone with information to contact them.
Lang is described as 5-foot-2, 135 pounds, gray hair and blue eyes.
Fire crews have searched the area by helicopter and will continue to search the river until it gets dark.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
