TEMPLE, Texas (KCEN) -- A Temple man is dead after police say he was hit by a car while crossing the street.

It happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 3500 of Southwest HK Dodgen Loop.

Thirty-nine year old Edward Ramirez was walking across the service road when he was hit by a Honda Civic.

The driver told police he didn't see Ramirez crossing.

Ramirez was rushed to Scott and White Hospital where he later died.

So far, no charges have been filed.
