WACO, Texas (KCEN) -- Four-year-old Cheyenne Kieran was the victim of a drowning in Lake Waco on Sunday during a family outing.

Police responded to the 3200 block of North Highway 6 at Twin Bridges Park at 1:40 p.m. where Kieran's body was found floating in the water.

Police say Kieran had been playing in the water on a trampoline float with four other friends near the bank.

He was then transported to Hillcrest Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 3:07 p.m.

Police say Kieran was wearing a life-jacket when the accident occurred.
