(KCEN)- The Supreme Court decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act still has lawmakers and the nation divided.
Thursday, Texas Congressman John Carter held a meeting at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, to get input from medical care experts.
The Congressman called the new law a burdensome nightmare and feels healthcare should be addressed more simply.
Congressman Carter believes we have the best healthcare in the world and said, "It started out in the in the world of free enterprise, we are losing that. The closer we get to government controlled healthcare the less quality we will have."
He also said, he does not yet know how the state of Texas will address the Medicaid expansion.
