(KCEN) -- After 82 days of searching the body of the missing Louisiana student Mickey Shunick is recovered.
But now some are questioning if Shunick's disappearance could be connected to the disappearance of a Spring teenager back in 2010.
Sixteen-year-old Ali Lowitzer disappeared while getting off a school bus just feet from her home.
Investigators say the man charged with Shunick's death drove a white pick-up truck that was later found burned in San Jacinto County.
A source close to the investigation says one of the early tips in Lowitzer's case put a white pick-up truck in the area at the time of her disappearance.
Thirty-three-year-old Brandon Lavergne is charged with the death of Shunick and another woman that disappeared in 1999.
Volunteer Coordinator Margaret Bearb says, "He's going to live with that mark forever. We're not going to live with that mark, we're going to go forward with the healing process to light."
Investigators are not yet saying if they believe the two cases are be linked.
