ARLINGTON, Texas—The Texas Rangers today announced that the organization has extended its Player Development Agreement with the Short Season-A Spokane Indians of the Northwest League through the 2014 season.
The Rangers have had a team in Spokane since 2003, matching Double-A Frisco in the Texas League for the organization's longest minor league affiliation. The Indians, which are owned by Longball, Inc. with Principal Owners Bobby, George, and J.B. Brett, have won Northwest League championships in 2003, 2005 and 2008 as a Rangers affiliate.
Spokane is 26-45 in 2012 with five games remaining in the season. The club completed the home portion of its 2012 schedule on Sunday night.
